Summary:
Leads the development of complex software features and contributes to architectural decisions across Tekion’s platforms. Mentors junior engineers, promotes engineering best practices, and drives technical excellence in both design and implementation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
• Designs and builds scalable, high-performance systems and services to support business growth and technical evolution.
• Leads feature development from concept to deployment, ensuring quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborates with architects and senior engineers to influence system design and technical strategy.
• Mentors junior engineers and fosters a culture of continuous learning and code quality.
• Conducts code reviews, sets engineering standards, and drives adoption of best practices across the team.
• Identifies bottlenecks and proactively resolves technical challenges in production and development environments.
Qualifications:
• 5–7 years of experience in software engineering
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Expertise in one or more modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C++)
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native services, and performance optimization
• Experience with microservices, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Excellent problem-solving, mentorship, and communication skills
• Proven track record of delivering production-grade software and improving team effectiveness
