Privacy policy

Effective 1 Aug 2026. This notice explains what LazyFreshers collects about you, why, who else sees it, and how to delete it yourself.

Who we are

LazyFreshers is a job discovery site operated by Fucharmonk, registered at Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. For anything in this notice you can write to fucharmonk@gmail.com. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 we are the data fiduciary for the personal data described here.

What we collect

When you create an account

Your email address, your name, and whether you are here as a candidate or an employer. Sign-in itself is handled by Supabase, our authentication provider, which stores your credentials — we never see or store a password.

When you build a candidate profile

Whatever you choose to put in it: headline, location, years of experience, skills, education, and links to profiles you already publish elsewhere. All of it is optional, and the site works without any of it apart from applying to jobs.

When you upload a résumé

The file, and its filename and size. A résumé is a document you wrote, so it contains whatever you put in it — we do not parse it for anything you have not shown us elsewhere, and we ask you not to include information you would not want an employer to have.

When you apply or click through to an employer

For an application made on this site: the job, the résumé you attached, any message you wrote, and the status the employer later sets. For a click on an “apply” button that leaves for an employer’s own site: the job, where we sent you, the page you came from, your browser’s user-agent string, an anonymous session identifier, and atruncated IP address.

The truncation is worth being specific about, because it is the difference between an analytics record and a tracking record. We discard the last part of the address before storing it, so what remains identifies a network and a rough region, not a device. We keep it to tell a genuine click from a scraper, and there is nothing else we do with it.

When you post jobs as an employer

Your company’s details, the postings themselves, and — if you ask to be verified — the registration or tax documents you submit. Those documents are read by our team to make the verification decision and are not shown to candidates or to other employers.

What we do not collect

• No advertising or third-party analytics trackers. There is no Google Analytics tag, no advertising pixel and no session-replay script on this site; the numbers we look at come from our own database.
• No payment details. Nothing on this site is charged for, so there is no card data to handle.
• No full IP addresses against your browsing, for the reason above. Administrator actions on our own console are logged with an address, because an audit trail that cannot say who did something is not an audit trail.
• We never sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

Why we use it

• To show you jobs, and to let you save them and apply to them.
• To pass your application to the employer whose job you applied to.
• To email you about things that happened to you on the site — an application status change, a posting approved or rejected, a company verified. These are not marketing emails and we do not send marketing emails.
• To keep the site honest: detecting duplicate and fraudulent postings, scoring employer trust, and rate-limiting abuse.

Who else sees it

Employers

An employer sees your application — your profile, your message and your résumé — only for their own jobs, and only once you apply. Browsing and saving jobs is private; no employer is shown a list of candidates who looked at their posting. We do not run a searchable candidate database, so an employer cannot find you before you have applied to them.

Service providers

We use a small number of processors, each for one job, each bound to use the data only for that job: Supabase for authentication, Cloudflare R2 for file storage, Resend for sending email, and Sentry for error monitoring. Our application servers and database are run by our hosting provider. This list is short on purpose and is kept current; if it grows, this page changes with it.

Error monitoring is the one on that list that could see something you did not send us deliberately, so it is worth saying what it does and does not receive. When something breaks, our servers send Sentry the error, the code path that produced it and the page or background task involved. They do not send your IP address, your cookies, the contents of any form you submitted, or the part of a web address after the question mark, which is where search terms and download links sit. We do not run Sentry in your browser at all — nothing on this site reports your activity to it.

When the law requires it

We will disclose data where we are legally obliged to, and we will tell you when we are permitted to tell you.

Résumés specifically

Résumés are the most sensitive thing on this site and are handled differently from everything else:

• They are stored in a private bucket with no public URL. There is no address for your résumé that anyone can guess, share or index.
• An employer reading one is given a signed link that expires after about 15minutes. A forwarded link stops working almost immediately, and a link in someone’s browser history is not a copy of your résumé.
• Every download is recorded — which employer, which résumé, when. If you ask us who has read yours, we can answer.
• Deleting your account deletes the files, not just the database rows that point at them.

Cookies

We set a session cookie when you sign in, which is what keeps you signed in, and an anonymous identifier used to group apply-clicks from one visit. That is all. There are no advertising cookies to consent to, which is why this site does not show you a cookie banner.

How long we keep it

Your account data stays while your account does. Applications and their status history stay for as long as the account, because both you and the employer need the record of what was sent and what came of it. Job postings expire on a schedule set by the employer and are retired automatically. When you delete your account we remove your profile, résumés and saved jobs; applications you have already sent are anonymised rather than removed, because an employer’s own hiring records are theirs.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can, at any time:

• See what we hold. Most of it is on your profile page and your applications page; write to us for the rest.
• Correct it. Profile and résumés are editable from your account.
• Have it erased. Delete your account from account settings, or, if you hire here, from your console’s settings. It happens when you press the button, not after a request is reviewed, and it takes the stored files with it. Two accounts cannot press it straight away. An employer who still belongs to a company has to leave it first, from the team page — deleting the last person would leave the company with nobody able to administer it — and if they own it, hand it to a colleague there before leaving. An admin cannot at all: write to fucharmonk@gmail.com.
• Withdraw consent for anything you gave it for, and nominate someone to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated.
• Complain — see below.

Children

This site is for people aged 18 and over. The DPDP Act requires verifiable parental consent before processing a child’s data and we are not set up to obtain it, so we do not knowingly accept accounts from under-18s. If you believe a child has registered, tell us and we will remove the account.

Where data is stored

Our providers operate globally and some of them may process data outside India. The DPDP Act permits this except to countries the government has specifically restricted, and we do not transfer to any of them.

Grievances

If something here has gone wrong, write to our Grievance Officer, Vikram Singh, at fucharmonk@gmail.com or by post at Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. We will acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days, as the IT Rules require. If we do not, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes

When this notice changes materially we will email registered users rather than quietly editing the page. The date at the top always reflects the current wording.
